2000 4Runner - when it is started when it is cold, like the first time of the day, if you do not let it run for at least 5 mins before driving it, it feels like it is chugging almost like the brakes are being pumped. In addition to that, it lags terribly while accelerating especially on the freeway, but does not always do that. I have replaced the coil pack, spark plugs and wires. Could it be a fuel pump issue? TPS?

Any ideas? I have tried searching and can't find anything that matches my problem.

CEL is on and I will be pulling the code after work today.

Thanks.

Vacuum leak? Cold rubber tends to be more prone to leaking as opposed to hot rubber that has has a chance to "mend" a bit.

Compression loss in a cylinder? Let us know what the CEL is.
