Burned the SH!T out of my big toe.

Stretching out while driving, was on cruise control, open TX highways, kicked off my sandals and ST R E T C H E D out my legs and OWWWWW! Almost passed out it was so painful!

See the pics. Those aluminum pipes apparently run SCORCHING HOT coolant even if you have the heat off or the AC ON?

That's odd, I've never heard of or seen those being an issue before in the truck....and I drive barefoot quite often!!! (I actually prefer it)

No offense but that is not exactly a smart thing to do. First off, you shouldnt be driving without shoes. Secondly, why are you stretching out your foot in that area where you can easy trap your foot and depress the gas pedal and cause an accident. That is just not thinking.

How big are your feet? That is pretty far up to be stretching out. I am sure those pipes are above 180 degrees when running.

Reminds me of an interesting story- Was driving through Montana one time and this girl ran off the road and rolled her car in front of us. When we got out to check on her I was checking her over and thought the length of her big toe was unusually odd. Then I noticed the blood streaming from her foot from the piece of cloth from her sandals that sliced about 2 inches into her foot. Never have worn flip-flops while driving again... LOL

yes, i do have big feet, she can attest... also it was just a weird angle, 1st time its happened in 4 yrs.

MICA4R i think you have me all wrong. I wasn't saying it was your fault at all. I was totally commenting on the fact i think you accidentally stumbled upon the real "Toyota Acceleration Problem". Floor mats and Gas pedals my ass. Bah! You don't dare modify MY gas pedal. I like my Sport Pedals the way they are.

Anyways, I'm in SoCal, and I drive in flip-flops, hell I wear them 10 months out of the year. I have been known to kick them off and stretch my feet out while waiting in I-5 traffic. I never even thought about the possibility I could burn myself. It hasn't happened yet, but now I know it could.
