Buy these fj80 springs?

I found a 91 fj that's being parted out fairly close to me. The guy has the front coils but doesn't know the paint codes because the got painted over when the chasis got painted. He only wants $60 for the pair but I can't tell the number of wraps.
He sent me the pictures I'm attaching.

Any thoughts from the experts?

Take em, at the very least you could sell them to make your money back if they aren't the ones you want.

LC coils ride and flex great but don't carry weight well. If you carry a lot of weight (wheeling/camping gear, heavy rear bumper, tire carrier) they will squat.

I have a bumper, tire carrier, water can, storage drawers, and 250 lbs of gear in the back, and my 7 7/8 wraps squatted about 3/4".

i have 8 wraps and when i installed my CBI hybrid rear bumper the 8 wraps squatted so much that i blew a shock... like gerdo said, they ride great but dont carry weight well. those appear to be 9wraps, and coming from a 91 LC that makes sense, as 9 wraps were very prominent in 91 LCs. also 9 wraps should give you about 5-6" of lift in the back empty with no weight, but loaded up with a full rear bumper a drawer system ect you should sit around 3-4" of lift maybe less... but they will be super spongy and soft at that amount of load.

im gonna be changing out my 8 wraps for a set of the 861OME coils to handle the weight better

I went from 861s to 8.25/8.75 wraps. I know for a fact i dont carry as much around as you on a daily basis but i have the 1st gen roll bar, about 70lbs in tools and my fullsize spare/carrier and the 861s were just too freaking tall. Maybe with another couple hundred lbs they will settle a bit more. I love my setup now with the SAW shocks.

Just what ive experienced, try them out and sell them if they dont work for you. I went from factory springs to 890s, to Toytec Superflex, to 861s, to the 8.25/8.75 Lexus coils. Rear coils are easy as cake to swap out.

As others have stated I'd get those 9wraps if only for reselling to someone else. I have sold many pairs of lc coils both fronts(lifts the rear of 3rd gen runners) and rears(lifts the rear of second gen runners) for $100 a set/pair and had them all sell within a week and no one blinked or balked about the price. And with 9wraps being fairly rare and desirable I'd bet you could easily make $40 on them.

One set of 8wraps I got came from a 94i know for a fact, the other set was either from a 95 or 96...
