Hey all, I had a 96 and sold it 3 years ago. I wanted to get into something newer and got a 04 Maxima. Love it. However I got a new house and now work out of it so it's a waste of monthly income to have such a nice car in the driveway all day.
So I want to get back into a used 4Runner again. I was *thinking* I could get back into a 96' like my old one for about $5k but to my surprise they are still holding around $7k-$8k here in VA.
So I found a 94' with only 108k miles on it. I know it's possible it wasn't driven much but the current owner has only had it for a year and doesn't really know the history. Is there anything I can look at to see if it's the original engine? Is that a stupid thing to be concerned about? The truck is beautiful... not rust, no dents and just the normal 14 years of wear on the interior. Anything else I should look for in this model???
