buying a 06 sport ed

my parents are looking at buying a 2006 sport edition. i was wondering what they should look for? or check? and any tsb's for the 06's or not like the sulfur smell. i have a 05 sport ed. and i know of a few things to look for but some of you all know better than me. thanks for the help everyone!

Tell them to be patient, wait a little longer (maybe not, since there may be some available in your area) and find one that meets their expectations that has a V8.

They will be very happy they did. It's worth the extra search.

Toyota Owners website, plug in the VIN, look at the maint. history.

Calipers, seized pistons.

Make sure all diff. & fluids in trans. case were changed.

Check sunroof frame for rust.

Check under rear-door weather stripping for rust.

I have an 06 v8 sport and its so much better than the v6. The mpg isnt bad either, hardly any difference. Wait it out for a v8, the transmission is as smooth as anything. I bought mine in 2008 and have had a few people approach me to buy it because they cant find a similar one. I bought mine as soon as it went on sale at my local dealer, waited forever to find it.

The only thing ive done on it is fix frozen calipers, cost me about 800 so definitely check that out if you do end up looking for a v8.
