Buying a 07 SE V6 in the next week or so!

Found the car at a local toyota dealer. It's a Shadow Mica 2007 Sport V6 with 63K miles certified thru Feb. 2014. Already talked to them about price and got it to 23K out the door. Any questions I should ask before buying? Thanks in advance.

Btw, i too had an 02 xterra SE with a 2.5" Rancho lift and 3" Calmini BL, 35's, rear ARB locker and the weakest V6 ever!

I've always loved that color, they're hard to come by around here.

Make sure before you drive it off the lot you test to make sure it shifts into 4hi and 4lo.

V6 on those are crazy underpowered, and they need another gear. My X is stock and averaging 13-14mpg.

Yeah, the shadow mica is my favorite, and i probably should have included that its a 2wd.

Check underneath for rust, check that all lube services were done including the drive shafts. Don't believe a thing the dealer tells you.

To make sure it:

-shifts in/out of 4Hi and 4Lo Nicely
-See if XREAS is NOT leaking
-Caliphers, are they seized or serviced?
-Check for leaks around Actuator
-Check operation of Stereo


There are some common issues. Not much you cando about the seat pop (minor annoyance).

Other then that, solid vehicle!
