Buying a 2014 LE in Canada

Hi guys, I'm thinking about buying a 2014 LE, and contacted a couple dealers by emails already trying to get the best price.

Was able to get $3100 below the MSRP, but still about $2k above the invoice (it seems all the dealers in my province wouldn't go any lower, and they know I'm a serious buyer).

It's awesome that you folks in the States can get good deals on vehicles. And for all the other Canadian owners, my question is, what price did you pay when you bought yours? Will you say $3100 below MSRP is a decent discount?:violin:

I went to the .ca website, you canucks have a very convoluted setup base on providence. and the Taxes, Levies, Freight & PDI, and Fees are nuts per region.

just adding that check box adds $8200 for the MB region.

Ok... well what sis he price? MRSP could vary by region/province. If you're in the $46k area....before taxes that's pretty good IMO. I got a leftover '12 back in March for about $43.5k before tax. At that time '13s were very new and dealers weren't coming down much, maybe a couple grand.

That is the factor too. Price also depend on demand and of the number 4Runners in stock. What is strange that I tried e-mail dealers too but nobody gave me price by e-mail, they all were saying something like visit us and we'll get you the best price. I had to negotiate in person and it had limited my options. So maybe you might get better price if you talk to a dealer, try to leave few times, talk about Jeep best SUV award etc : )

Yes Scanny, I'll see how far I can go with the price when I talk to the dealer next week. I can't talk about Jeep, because I'm trading in my Jeep...... Maybe Honda pilot will do

I have nothing to add other than of all the vehicles I ever test drove the Limited was the sweetest ride. It drives like a dream. I went with the 2014 Canadian Trail edition, but it was a tough choice. I can't wait to see some pics when you get it soul! I hope you get a great deal, looks like you've got some good leads.

Thanks Mike!! Did you test drive all the 4runner trims, or different makes? I did test drive nissan Pathfinder, was a smooth ride, but hold it off because the tranny problem is all over the internet, especially the pathfinder forums. And the only 4runner I test drove was the Limited, very quiet compare to my Jeep...

I couldn't get any SK dealers to deal. I ended up buying my '12 TE in Brandon for $500 over invoice. They were very easy to deal with. The only downer was I had to ride the Greyhound to pick up the vehicle. I also had some luck being offered the same deal in Calgary and Edmonton, but it would have been more of a hassle to fetch the truck there.

It might be harder to but a '14 for that low right now though. Good luck!

No man, I didn't get my hands on everything 4runner, but I did try a superfly Team Trails FJ also. The FJ was pretty capable, and outside just looking killer-dillerm but here was no comparison in the workmanship and ride. I didn't hesitate to get the 2014 4Runner Trail (called "Trail Premium" in the USA) because I live in the boonies, but if I had any urban tendencies I would have gotten the 2014 4Runner Limited. It drove so smoothly that it dropped my jaw.
