Buying a 4runner, hows this price sound?

How recently was the car put on the market? Sometimes sellers need a reality check on their asking price. I picked up my 2000 SR5 2wd with 130K for $5000 a few months ago, and it sounds as though it was in similar running/cosmetic condition to the 4Runner you're looking at. My trucks original asking price was $10K and a year later they took $5K for it.

i think thats precisely the problem. it was on the market literally a day before i called on it.... i plan to call and offer him 6500 for the vehicle in the condition its in....if he doesnt take it, im gonna keep on looking

bog... thanks for those links... ive checked on a few and actually inquired on more pics for the last one... but my question is... these are 110-130k miles... yes, theyre newer models, but dont you think a 97 with 80k miles is a better deal at the same price?

Hard to say.... low mileage is always nice, but it doesn't always guarantee a well kept vehicle. Father time can be just as tough on vehicle components as mileage.

thats a solid point... on a side note, i called on the last vehicle in the above links, sold for 7k.... ima keep looking! lets hope i can find a deal relatively soon!
