115 with a receiver tube included. 4x8' sheet cut down the middle.
so stoked. finishing up some sliders for a friend w a 4th gen tonight and getting started on the bumper tomorrow. so stoked.

so i got way farther than i expected. . . the bumper is done. structurally at least. next weekend im going to re grind, then re weld any dips in the seams so no welds will be visible. man talk about some fun... heres some pics. also got a little 10" LED light bar for the arb. fun fun fun. cant wait to finish up. definitely going to do a flat or hammered finish. gloss looks like crap. oh and i put a 36 on the back and it fits unbelievably... thats why the side doesnt go all the way to the fender flare. for the future. ..

Where is the landing in the last two pics? It makes me sad to see all those houses clumped so close together on the water. Location, location, location. I fear OBX will look similar one day.

Those little light bars are awesome.
That turned out pretty good, I like how you don't have to reach up underneath the bumper to access the hitch pin.

How much of a gap did you leave for body flex? It looks really tight in the pics.

its tight. and its fine. thanks for noticing. i flexed it out everyway i could no issues. still have some reinforcing and a whole bunch more grinding this weekend. my other bumper is shot and i chopped up my towing package so i have nothing to tow with but the new bumper...had to mount it up.

yeah. i go out in the boat and tow different things alot with different sizes, so its pretty nice to not have to get up under there to switch it out....even though its not difficult to get up under there anymore :biggrin2:

It is sad that my parents retired to the 8th block of W.Ashley Ave. and I can't even recognize the FB boat landing. Maybe because it isn't crammed full of cars.
Ever though of mounting rear lights with a dimmer up top for launching/docking the boat? It helps when the county forgets to change out the burned out lamp bulbs in the parking lot.

thanks for the tip: got those lights a couple years ago @ northern tool for about 11$ for both....they have since bit the dust. im going to LED's when i replace them. Durability with lighting is the most important quality for me. my stuff gets beat up...
and i fish all year long, so most the time theres only one or two other people out there. the best times are in the off season anyways. summer comes, and the fish slow down so much. bottom fishing aint near as fun as fly fishing ...

The off season is the best; any boat landing in Chas in the day in summer is a nightmare.

Went to gulches ORV again this weekend. Had another awesome weekend. Only thing broken is the tailpipe. I hacked it off while I was there and tied it up w some extra mig wire I had in truck. No fumes, sounds better, and wont get crushed again. As far as bumper goes, it got worked. Slammed on rocks on bottom and sides. Also used to pull out a full size bronco out a deep ass mudhole and ill say that im impressed. Never really had to pull many vehicles out w strap. But did accidently pull dude into a tree. Guess my foot got carried away.... posting some cool vids soon

fields welding on cross county road in N chas. awesome guys. they told me to come back and show them how everything turned out. i did and they loved it. they took me back in the shop to check out the materials and im already looking at some more stuff to do. stand up place.and they have been around since i think 1973. 843-552-9432

both blaine and i received some nice burns that weekend. it was way too hot in beaufort for long sleeves/pants and socks. way too hot.
