Buying Used 4runner - what should I look for?

Hello people,

I'm new to 4runners but know my way around cars as I've been working on them for years. I'm going to inspect a 1995 4runner 4wd manual. Aside from typical old car issues (oil leak, tranny, etc.), are there any unique issues to 4runners that I should be asking about? Any thoughts would be very helpful as this is my first 4runner.

ask if it has the LSD in the rear.
when I bought mine after taking it to a long trip i started hearing noises from the rear when turning. aparently the diff oil was ether low or old or wrong kind. the rpoblem fixed when i changed the oil.
also check rear heater; rear window and wiper; hand brake cable

Check the under carriage for off road abuse.
Scrapes, dents, mud in high places, and new skid plates.
Check the tow hitch for use.
