Very sorry that this happened but glad you’re okay. Particularly frustrating given that getting another one isn’t an easy task where you are. Hope you stay on the board. FWIW, rain performance is one reason I’m a Michelin fan though sometimes the puddle is big enough that you could be running earth mover tires and still be “stuffed” as you put it.

I've had stock size Michelin LTX AT2s for a couple of years. I was looking for a tire to meet both my needs, the 95% on-pavement driving I do and the 5% off-roading and this tire is a terrific fit.

I just had to laugh about the headlights - what else can you do?!

Thanks mate. I would LOVE another one, I was looking at normal UK spec Hilux trucks (Closest thing you guys have is probably the Tacoma) but they're all diesel and I just...don't want one. Not like how I wanted my Surf/4runner, even though the open bed would technically be more practical. I don't think you guys have the same regs on diesels as we do but the amount of stuff that can go wrong compared to a simple N/A petrol/gasoline engine is huge, and unless you get one with a DPF there's a daily charge to drive into London, and soon other cities I expect.

Of course, we were told in the 90s to "Drive a diesel and save the planet". But modern diesels are far removed from the simple reliable old chuggers that they used to be.

Kinda stuck at the moment! There's literally nothing I want on the UK market. Very few 4.0s available for import. And a 13 week wait for whatever I may import.

On the plus side, the insurance got settled quickly, and I actually got a reasonable pay out.

Curious as to how the import process works. Do you buy from a local company who then brings the truck over? Or do you buy it in the other country then have it shipped to the UK?
