I much different is the ride quality? They will be going on a 2010 4Runner TE. In your opinion is it worth the harsher ride to go from a BFG 265 tire to a 275 tire? I like the bigger tire A LOT. I am just not sure about the ride though.

You can find plenty of 255, 265, or 275 in 6 ply load range "c". Some people are running 10 ply load range "e", but personally I would think it would ride like a tractor w/ such stiff heavy tires. I like 6 ply but am prepared for a bit harsher ride than my current 4ply "p"rated tires.

I wish I could find a 275-70-17 tire with the same "aggressive" tread that the BFG AT has in the "C" load but, I cannot seem to find any. Anyone have any recommendations?

Check the Good Year Silent Armors and Duratracs. They might come in that size and load range.
