I have up for sale my 4Runner.

Reason for selling: I want something that I can beat on and not worry about resell value later on. Plus I'm in the middle of another car build.

Engine: 133000 v6 with 2nd generation trd supercharger
Transmission: 5speed
Color: grey with black flares
Interior: tan cloth
Drive: 4x4
Title: clean
Additions: URD 7th injector, bilstein suspension, trd exhaust tip, trd boost gauge, weather tech rain visors, 2nd gen TRD supercharger.
Price:9.5k FIRM

Condition: like show room floor. Only blemish is the stain on drivers floor mat. Interior is FLAWLESS exterior is free of debts and has 2 scratches. On on top of passenger mirror and a light scuff above the drivers fender flare.

I'm only selling because like I said I want to get a pickup that I can beat on.

I went to take a look at it and I test drove it. The clutch was slipping during the test drive the dealer took it the next day to his mechanic and the mechanic confirmed it needed a clutch.
I unfortunately was out of town the next day when the dealer took it to his mechanic and the current seller purchased it that evening from the dealer.
It is extremely clean! And it also has some upgrades the current seller is not aware of.
But as I said it sold just last week for 7500.
Its a shame when it got snatched up from under me I was hoping it at least was going to a good home, not just to be resold for profit.

I did not buy it with the intention of making a profit. I bought it because it was priced super low. And was in great condition. It ran really lean, misfired, had a few vacuum leaks when I bought it. As soon as I got home it was throwing 6 codes. Granted they were all misfires, but I took care of that, took care of the running lean with the 7th injector kit and fixed the miscellaneous issues. Ya the clutch doesn't grab like new but it doesn't slip under full boost or while driving it normally. Could it use a new one in the distant future. Ya but as of right now, no.
I have other responsibilities which is causing me to sell it. And the fact that I want something I can beat up without having to worry about the condition.
Sorry that I have this priced according and you don't like it. I'm more than negotiable like I said on the email I sent you. I haven't gone through the whole truck, so when you speak of unknown upgrades, I am still unaware.
So if you would like to make an offer then do so, otherwise please keep your negativity elsewhere.

The fact that you have practically gone on to all my posts about this and continuously bring up the price at which I bought it is negative. Let's say I bought it with the intention of flipping it, is that a problem? I didn't have that intention, but life throws curveballs and now I need to sell it. Why would I just try and break even after fixing all the little shit that was wrong with it.
The clutch isn't a big deal, seeing that it isn't making an impact on daily driving it. I live in grass valley and the hills haven't been a problem. I have had a few standards with stock clutches all the way up to unsprung 6pucks. This clutch doesn't pose a problem for the time being.

Regardless, if you want to make an offer you can do so, I AM MORE THAN NEGOTIABLE with the price.

A clutch takes a few hours to replace. If I had the time and money to put into this truck like I thought I would have it would be a big deal.

Lol every forum is the same. I never claimed to know a lot about 4runners. I know cars, not so much about trucks. I will stick to craigslist, al it takes is a few people with a decent amount of posts to ruin a thread.

Aside from the clutch, this is a damn good truck. And yoter knows it. He's hust butt hurt because I bought it before he could. If it was such a piece of crap why did he want it so bad?

It's not even worth it to argue with anyone, if anyone wants to offer then do so. I'm looking to get 9500. FIRM my price was high so that we could negotiate.

Apparently when private parties price their vehicles high it's frowned upon but dealers can make 200% profit and no one bats an eye

I've flipped a number of 4Runners over the years. They're actually almost the perfect vehicle to do so. There are plenty of them out there that have a bunch of small issues that owners give up on. I try to buy those, address the issues and then make a profit. I see nothing wrong with what the OP is doing here. I do think it was good looking out on Yoter's part mentioning the clutch to other forum members. But you can't bash a guy who got a deal and is now making a few buck. I bought a C4 Corvette last night from an old friend. I haven't seen the car in a while but I do know it's history. As soon as I go pick it up & go through it, it'll be for sale again in the very near future.

The price of the profit doesn't concern anyone, the car is worth what it is worth. This is what I meant by all forums are the same. I can fix the clutch for 500 dollars and that's with an upgraded spec clutch. I guarantee that still wouldn't appease you.

Also I took care of the major issues check engine lights, misfires, and pinging. That alone was over 1000. The clutch is a minor problem. It doesn't slip under boost or load, I didn't feel the need to make a huge point of it.

Could you please elaborate on the over 1000 dollars worth of work you had done?
When I drove this 4runner 24 hours before you bought it (or 12 days ago) there were no "check engine lights, misfires, and pinging" that you mention above. As I said earlier the 4runner is extremely clean, I wouldn't have said that if it was misfiring or throwing codes.
What was wrong with it? What codes was it throwing?
What did it take to remedy these issues?

I don't think we test drove it on the same day.. When I test drove it there wasn't and cel but it was pinging. The k&n intakes are known for making the 5vz rune super lean. Not even 24 hours after owning the vehicle p0300 p0303 p0306 p0300pd p0303pd p0306pd all popped up. I replaced the plugs wires and ignition coils. And didn't take care of the misfires. So I moved on to the pinging. Pinging is most of the time cause by running lean. So I shelled out the cost of the URD 7th injector kit over nighted it and installed it. Did an oil change coolant flush and a tranny oil change. Basic maintenance.

Spark notes:
Car threw codes and ran lean
I changed basic stuff
Installed urd kit
Car runs perfect. No hesitation no pinging. Nothing.

You all jump on me and bash me for me making money off it and not disclosing the clutch. The clutch isn't a big deal it has life still. But as soon as some other guy backs me you guys back off. It's like this on every forum.

I'm done arguing it's a waste of time to argue over forums.

Listen man, I want you to sell this truck, I really do. I want you to make a profit on it. But what happened in this thread is what should've happened. You posted a truck for sale with some details and facts, and someone who knew the truck(Yoter) came in and brought up some other facts on the truck so other members were aware. Yoter has been here for awhile, you haven't, so when someone with less than 10 posts comes in here trying to sell a mystery truck, don't be surprised if you get called out. The truck may or may not be everything we think it is, we don't know that. But if people want to speak up and ask questions, don't call them being "negative". If you don't want to argue in a forum because you think you're above the forum, then like I said, stick to Craigslist.

You mean you changed all 3 ignition coils, 7th injector, plugs and wires due to the intake????

I think that's kinda overkill. And why you didn't mention that you spent all that time and effort in the first post is also interesting. You should have mentioned the clutch, period.
