cabin fresh air filter location

I just bought my new /used 2000 4 runner. I don't have the service manual yet. Can someone tell me if there is a filter for the fresh air into the car. I looked around at the usual location and nothing seemed to be holding a filter . thank you'll for you reply.

Im a big fan of Ozium products for freshening my interior. Works wonders on cigarette smoke if that's a problem as well.

You should rejoice that there's no cabin air filter. My first official act with my 4th gen was to break the glove compartment latch while changing it. Apparently mechanics break them all the time. $15 part from the internet.

There's no cabin filter, but there is a cabin fan located under/behind the glovebox. It can sometimes get pretty dirty or clogged with crap, so cleaning it can be a good idea.
