Cadillac Hill - Rubicon Trail / Blackwood Canyon Trip Report

Hola!

my wife and i just got home from spending 4 days in tahoe over the weekend. we relaxed and went on some nice trails. first we went up blackwood canyon and ellis peak down to bear lake then we went on the rubicon up to cadillac hill for the day and came back to the lake. its been a year since we've done the rubicon but man i love that trail, always challenging!

Great report and pictures as always Josh! Your 4Runner is truly the standard to which all 4th gens must measure up.

Can't believe you didn't see any trucks on the rubicon with bigger tires than yours for the photo game. :nerd:

You didn't happen to see a crew from Utah on the Rubi, did ya? Blue first gen Taco on 35s with a 4Runner roll bar and bikini top?

WOW! Thanks for the memories. I did that trail back in the early 90's.while living in Napa CA w/ a couple of jeeps. I also remember fishing from a granite cliff while camping and actually caught one. Great trip. I think it's a Buick on caddalic hill; if memory serves.

Damn I wish we had awesome views like that here in Ga. Looks like one hell of a fun trip!
