okay guys, i am the proud new owner of a TRD CAI.... for a v6 mine is the 8 (son of a *ITCH) i was so excited to get it i just grabbed and ran.... so, the v6 CAI have a straight tube... i need a "s" curve tube, everything else will match up just fine.

I've been looking and doing a bit of research, I've found the flexible/expandable tubes but i think the accordion folds would lessen the air flow... completely going against the whole reason for a CAI in the first place.

so the question is: does anyone know where to get replacement tube (or if you have on you want to sell) or if you were to fabricate one, what material would you use?

My rig is a 2003 sport with the 4.7

down falls of craigslist

I got it of craigslist, guy who sold it to me says I'm SOL i only paid $150 for it... only reason he sold it was a upgrade to a 5th gen

If you can't return it, then try to sell it on here or on CL. The V8 4Runners have a cold air intake from the factory. Just remove the hydrocarbon filter and put in a drop in high flow filter and you have the same, if not better, results than an aftermarket CAI.

done!

i already did the CAF removal...i was hoping to add more growl to the sound. i have aftermarket exhaust... i posted it on here.. hopefully i can get it sold so i can move onto a new mod... thank you for the input i appreciate it!

A lot of auto parts store (I'm thinking about oreilly personally, but I'm sure others carry it too) sell "DIY CAI" kits.. I'm sure you could pick up a piece that's curved like you need from one of them.
