Call for Help! 2002 pearl white

Guys, in need of some help here. My best friend has been wanting to get into a 3rd gen, and I've finally convinced him to trade in his 2011 wrx to do so. Long story short, he had one on the line and was set to drive up here in the morning, after he went and secured a loan the dealer sold it from under him. Needless to say he is livid and was expecting to trade in his car this afternoon.

He is in Savannah, I am in Charlotte. He and I are both looking hard for another one but you guys know as well as I do how tough they are to come by. The only requirements are 4wd, I'll research all ads posted. I'd take precedence on east coast vehicles so I can help drive him to it or negotiate shipping. Thanks and hopefully this will work out because I'll be living through him vicariously if so...until I get back in one!

It's awesome of you to try to get him into one but it's pretty hard to have him go from an 11 wrx into an 10-11 Year old 4runner... Don't get me wrong, I LOVEEEE my 4runner....
Either way, the only reason I'd do it is to lower my payments and such...

I have one of each. :flipoff:

But seriously.. how the hell is he trading in a 2011 WRX? I can't see how its possible.. unless he paid for it in cash.

Well I did as well. :flipoff:  But seriously... Like I said, if he is looking to lower payments(As long as he is not up side down), I can understand the trade. Maybe keeping his wrx and finding a cash deal on a 96-2000.

He owe's something like 17 on it and can get 24,500 or so. He just wants a lower payment and how he's structuring the loan will be putting on $2-3000 of goodies almost immediately after buying....and you're looking at his purchasing coach

Well the white is just a pain in the ass to find, most people don't even know how to list it. Honestly off of the info I've seen I don't even know which one is the proper phrase, I used to think it was pearl white now it looks like the official name for the color is golden pearl. Anyways they list it as white, off white, natural white, white pearl, golden pearl, makes it tough.

I think I've convinced him to consider thundercloud metallic. A few in the area he could look at and I personally love that color. Right below the white and above the green in my opinion.

I spent a few months looking for a golden pearl a few months back. Very tough to find and they go fast.

I agree on the colors. Golden pearl> thundercloud > jade mica.

Best of luck!

whoever came up with the names of these colors for Toyota must have been taking too much of their glaucoma medication.

Sounds like he's golden then :fishing:

I have been scouting for a couple of friends, one needing a car and the other a truck. I will keep an eye out for 4runners as well. Seems like I saw a good looking one around brunswick a couple of weeks ago for a good price. One thing I can say is in these parts they are really pricey, that is why I drove to North Carolina to get mine hehe.

I liked white best as well but still really like whatever mine is. Desert dune maybe? I have seen another that was much more metallic silver.

Here is one in NC for a good price. http://raleigh.craigslist.org/cto/2738969331.html

Weird. Don't see the color often. I pm'd this one to another member a few days ago but he's not interested. Not mine, don't know a thing about it, don't know if it's still available- and it's kinda far from you...

Mines a Golden Pearl. It looks white from a distance but once closer and the sun is out, it shows a pearlesent gold metal flake. I love the color but it makes it difficult to do any touch-ups..

so that is the name of that color

with the color matched bumpers, grill and flares it looks great in person. there is one floating around downtown and its clean

This is so bizarre. I convinced one of my friends to buy a 3rd gen 4Runner this summer. He sold his 2009 WRX to buy it.

I just bought one from VA this past weekend, golden pearl white off e-bay... that the one he was looking at?

Funny enough that was the one that forced him to go with the one here in NC, he would have preferred the VA one though haha. No worries early bird catches the worm, enjoy!
