[NJ Cement TRD Pro]

So, what have you decided on to replace it with?

The only thing I would consider was a Cement Tundra TRD Pro. Granted that means it had to be a 2017.

Found one, 8,000 miles, Toyota Certified. Sold and repurchased by the original dealer. Original owner had trouble parking it regularly where they lived. :lol:

I can say the last 12 months of ownership showed me a few things...

• The Cement color is really awesome.
• I enjoy the simplicity of Toyota products.
• The 4Runner rides way better than the FJ we owned previously.
• The 4Runner was not being optimized for my usage as a daily.
• I love Cement.
• It’s too slow for me.

I have driven my buddy’s Tundra Rock Warrior, and loved the v8 torque. Did not love his cloth seats.

I know the 2019 Tundra TRD Pro has a Fox suspension (2” higher) and LED headlights as standard equipment BUT I will also come with higher price tag with crazy dealer markup. Most importantly, NO Cement color offering.

Boy, the re-sale is horrible on these pros, this one was on the market for a whole 24 hours.....lol. Congrats on the sale and enjoy the Tundra.

Rent the 5.7 for a week and you will quickly realize the mpgs aren’t close at all. I rented one two years ago for 8 days and did about 600 miles. Ninety percent of the driving was highway and I couldn’t break 17 mpg (I am a very conservative driver). Hence why I went with a Tacoma at the time... Great truck all round but I couldn’t justify the gas cost vs towing ability for my needs.

I had an 06' VS 4Runner sport. Kick myself for selling it.

I have a 15' 4Runner SR5 (waiting for it to "buff right out")

I have a 5.7 Tundra.

If you can afford it the 5.7 is a great motor.

So you posted a question about whether or not you were crazy... were given a laundry list of reasons as to why you should consider other options, and then did what you were originally going to do anyway... why bother with the thread at all??

In related news I find your specific motivation interesting. I have never, ever, ever bought a car for it's color, 100% always bought the deal. My E-350 was white, lots of people asked me why I got a white e class, some even said it was a woman's car (previous owner was in-fact female) I showed them the deal I got... no further questions. when I bought my 4Runner 2 dealers had the exact same car, features specs etc. the other one was Barcelona Red... why did I buy the black one, they gave it to me for $600.00 less than the other with floor mats, roof cross rails and those door guard thingys included. 0 F's give about the color if the other dealership had done a better deal I'd be driving the red one and just as happy. I have had plenty of friends or co workers pay up to a $1,000.00 more for a car because it was the color they wanted so maybe I am the minority here, obviously we all have different motivations.
