I believe Toronto is like 2 hours away from USA border, isnt it? That being said I have never had any problems finding parts in Canada. What part are you looking for?

No issues for parts especially when we are roughly 2 hours from the Buffalo/Niagara border. Having a US mailbox is also a bonus to save on shipping. I usually love crossing the border because my wife loves Olive Gardens and I love the lower fuel price. I am in Brampton by the way.
Also if you need parts, I get a good discount and I am a mechanic

We get bent over at the dealerships up here, even with a shop discount.
I've gotten OEM parts through a mechanic buddy and even at his cost it's still cheaper to order from a place like toyotapartsdeal.com or similar.

Just doing a quick comparison. Just did a lower control arm
From the website: $348.47 shipped USD - Roughly $460 CAD
Local dealer: Not much more and no hassle at the border
Not hard time looking for parts , what I meant was shipping and attaining them sucks as shipping and also LACK of shipping to Toronto ... but you’re right not hard to find.. there’s lots .. currently looking at Doug Thorley headers but looks like I can only find on eBay from US and will have to pay for shipping here ..
I contacted RA the other day about their skid plate package so looks like that will be a near future purchase as well.!

I am in Toronto west end. Looking to get a build started on my 4th gen as well.
Still new to the 4runner, but I heard Rockspyder in Markham is good for service and parts for any 4x4.

Good to know! I would mind going down there for gas. my v8 is a drinker alright.

It depends on what I bring back and the time frame I spend there. Some things I install, some I stash and some I declare.
Due to the dollar, things like tires I used to get down south and installed by Bailey Tires in Buffalo. Now it is cheaper here. I did my bumper, roof rack install down south in a parking lot.
I used to go down south at least twice a month. Now, maybe once every 3-4 months

From Markham here. Not sure what parts you are looking for, but Rockauto always ships parts fine. and most aftermarket companies will ship to toronto although its expensive

Picking up my very first 4Runner on Tuesday. A mint 2006 Limited V8. Only 148,000km on it. I have owned a 2000 Tundra with the same engine. In that iteration, the gas consumption was beyond horrendous! lol
The previous (and only) owner of the 4R was fanatical with the services. Every conceivable service imaginable was done at a Toyota dealership. Transmission, transfer case, differential, brake fluid flush done every 48,000KM etc...
I live around Ottawa but I bought it in Toronto. I will be flying down Tuesday to pick it up. I would have gotten it this week, but there was a delay getting the timing belt done.
First order of business will be swapping out the head unit. Second order of business will be to pile on as many kilometers on it as I can!
