Calling all K&N filter owners!!!

Do you have to use the K&N oil, or can you use something else???

I wouldn't use anything but K&N oil and expect it to do the same job, it's not that expensive after all.

Part Source has the filter recharge kits for sure, likely Canadian Tire as well, any speedshop, etc.:thumb3:

I installed the K&N cold air induction kit into my '01. Have yet to have a problem with the MAF. The kit came with a cleaning solution and oil for the filter. I clean it only when it starts to look dirty. Spray inside and out of the cone-shaped filter, let sit for a bit. Then flush it out with low-pressure cool water. Let dry in sun for a few hours. Then spray the oil on evenly to the outside only. Basically you want to use just enough so you are turning the white fibers a reddish-pink. Any more than that and you risk contaminating the MAF. I noticed a little better acceleration after installing the kit. They say it helps your gas mileage too but not enough for me to notice.
