I got a silver, seems they ship 1 black 4Runner for every 100 silver to my area
I love black and know what goes into keeping it clean but it's worth it, but my silver just like my past black vehicles, when you wash it and the water is on it, it has that wet look shine but then you dry if off and it's just dull, does not matter what color it is, it needs wax, wax and more wax, the wax makes it pop, I've seen black & silver that where just clean and they where just that clean, the black & silver or any color that is waxed just glows when you see it, the way it reflects the sunlight or the street lights just makes you go damn and really appreciate the hard work and time someone has spent on that vehicle.
Black shows the dirt so much faster but their have been times when I wax my silver truck daily and then need to go out and it starts to rain, I think I've ended droughts, last summer we got tons of rain, just so happens I washed and wax my car weekly if not daily, my driveway you would get washed away and thats not normal
Im a freak when it comes to a clean car, I just buy a ton of autozone stuff and go crazy, the happiest feeling is when I look at the hood from the drivers seat and it reflects like a mirror.
People think Im a genious when it comes to detailing and I tell them all it's just 10 different waxes I picked up from the Zone
Vehicles need wax, I've seen trucks that are cleaned daily and they just look dull plus just washing them does not hide the minor scratches and swirls.
I'd also like to mention I keep a spray bottle of water and rags in the cars for the birds
Just wax them and if you don't have time to wax get a good car soap with added wax, or hit the soft touch car washes but then wipe them down with a wet/damp towel and then wax them.
Their are tons of waxes at Autozone that go on and off real easy and the more wax the easier the next coat it, the car was to feel like wet glass but it's dry, that makes me so happy
