put a daystar 2.5" on my 98 4runner 4wd about 3months ago. After the install I did an alignment and my caster was roughly 2 deg off and the truck drove like shit. I then bought some adj uca from fat bobs. Now my caster is great but my camber is off ive got the uca all the way in and the lower cam bolts all the way out. What do I need to do or what am I missing?URL=http://s203.photobucket.com/user/boosterror/media/20140406_152501.jpg.html]

The ucas are on the correct sides 100% sure of that. Lower cam bolts are maxed out. Bushings have some dry rout but are still holding there shape.

Was your camber good before you replaced the UCAs? If so, I'd say your problem is right there. If not, then we could check for bent parts, but that is unlikely to happen on both sides. Do you know or have a print out of any before readings? Also do you have the SAI and Included angle readings? These help to identify bent parts. Not that I think you have bent parts, but it is nice to rule that out.

Camber was good before the uca install caster was way out. I've been looking and searching around and don't anyone that has had issues with the lightracing uca.

So I'll assume your Caster was not positive enough before the UCA's, but it shouldn't have "driven like shit" unless there was a big difference side to side and/or Caster was actually negative. I would think even at .5 positive on both sides it would still drive OK. But I digress, clearly if you had good camber before the UCA's, and now you don't, I say "ditch the UCA's", emphatically.
Many aftermarket parts are not well thought out, I don't have direct experience with these, just making a general statement.

Caster was +.5 before the arms it was scary to drive, hard to keep it under control. Anything over 50mph was bad. With the caster in check it drives so much better I can go 75mph no problem. I can feel the positive camber and don't want to ruin my tires. I chose these arms because of the bj I dd this truck and don't wanna deal with the other ones.

Can we get some pics of the top of the UCA's? Correct me if I am wrong but it looks like your camber is to positive. I had LR UCA's on my FJ and I thought you just moved the nut in and out. Can you move the nut on top of the UCA in?

Taking your word on this, because I didn't drive your truck, but I've driven a lot of cars with bad caster and they didn't have symptoms like that. Caster doesn't affect driveability THAT much. No way could .5+ caster make your truck hard to keep under control. Sure would have liked to have seen the readings before you changed UCA's. I'd live with low caster WAY before I'd accept so much Positive Camber.

Just sayin'

I have driven lifted IFS vehicles and I know what he is talking about. The truck doesn't feel as planted, wonders on the road, especially at higher speeds, and becomes upset over bumps. Guess I wouldnt say it's scary, but definatly doesn't feel nearly secure and leaves something to be desired, especially coming from a stick set up.
