Camburg long travel, toytec and King install on my 1996

Been working on getting my Camburg long travel kit, king shocks and toytec springs installed over the last few weekends.

I probably have 10 hours into disassembly and assembly so far. It’s not 100% done just yet.

Had to modify the front king coil over spacer to fit so thats why no front shocks just yet.

No bumpstops or limit straps installed either they will be done in early January

Had a few hiccups along the way but can’t say enough thanks to a couple of my best friends jonny at richer racing for the king hook up and Scott at Camburg for the suspension deal.

New Years will be the maiden voyage to the local dezert for the weekend.

Are you going with a secondary bypass shock in the front? While expensive, I hear its amazing.

I will eventually, can’t afford it currently, plus I’d have to fabricate a shock hoop so maybe next summer once the dezert season is over here in Southern California I’ll see if I can afford to do all that.

I do have hydraulic bumps stops for all 4 corners too

Do your reservoirs, on the rear shocks, look like they will hit the axle when the suspension is compressed?

I jacked it up with the wheels off the ground and I’m more concerned about the clearance between the upper reservoir fitting and frame rail.

Nice. Up front I'm running 700lb 18", and it's a back breaker. Have 600lb ready to swap in as soon as I get some time.

oh you mean for the front coil overs? im not sure I want to say its a single rate 600lbs spring but haven't looked at them really closely. I ordered what ever shock Camburg told me to get. ill reply when I get home and check.

I have mine rotated so that the reservoir is facing out towards the tire and forward a bit. That way the fitting tucks away nicely and the reservoir won't get crushed by the axle tube on compression.

Truck looks good. What glass are you running?

I currently have Mcneil fenders. I’ll cycle everything s few more times before I take it out to check and move stuff if needed. Thanks for the tip

knowing the owners of both total chaos and Camburg id bet they are not interchangeable but you might be right.

If that shock hoop works. That will save you a big headache. I don't see why it wouldn't work though. Because the shock hoop mounts to the top tower. And the bottom shock mount that's on LCA probably isn't much different then the camburg.

Good to know. I’ll totally check into that then. Might be able to just have TC not even tack the upper tabs on. Or I’ll ask Camburg if it fits and go front there but I’m a ways off. I can’t even think about the price of bypasses and the hoop right now. My chicks gonna kill me when she really finds out what I’ve spent on this thing so far.

Then just have her add up how much she spends on shoes, purses, and makeup. And if she says she buys it to look good for you, she's lying. She buys it to compete with her friends and coworkers.
