Sent pictures to my friend at Camburg and he said the reservoir is supposed to go towards the front.

Taking a sick day tomorrow to swap shocks sides and also not sure what’s going on with the rear shocks they moved/ twisted just from driving to and from work today so need to figure that out as well so I can take it to be aligned before the weekend.

I had the same issue with my kings in the rear. What I ended up doing was taking the plastic lined sleeve out of the top bushing mount and cutting about a quarter of an inch off of it. With that sleeve at its full length, you aren't able to tighten the nut on the shock top stud enough to pressure the bushings enough to keep the shock from rotating. Once the sleeve is shortened, you can really crank down on the nut and the shock will stay in place. I also put some double sided foam tape in the bushings to give them a bit of grip to the frame mount to help them not rotate. Haven't had an issue since doing that.

Great tip, I’ll probably do that

Got my Mcneil fenders and certifit hood on yesterday. Not stoked on the fender fit but it may be because the truck was hit and repaired at some point.

All done for a few weeks until I put in my hydraulic bump stops and limit straps.

Then will be a front bumper and rock sliders.

Nope, that's how almost all off road glass fits. It almost always has to be sanded/ground down or filled to make it fit right.

Looks great, do you have plans on upgrading the rear links?

I do not know. If I do I think I want to build my own vs ordering them. At the price they are I am in no hurry. If this set up doesn’t do what I want it to do I will probably save the money on links and do a leaf spring conversion.

What do they say upgraded links do for performance wise? I’ve never looked into it.

Yeah, I know most of it fits horrible but this stuff seems a little worse then the last time I worked with fiberglass. But being a trail toy I wasn’t to worried and I only took maybe an hour to throw on the glass and hood. It coulda been better if I took more time.

Upgraded links will just make things stronger and less likely to bind or break. You can buy/make adjustable ones to dial in your pinion angle and axle position. They really won't be a noticeable performance difference, but they will last longer to abuse.

Where are you headed for New Years? I'll be out in Ocotillo Wells and Truckhaven area. It would be cool to check out your new suspension and have a beer or something.

I’ll be out in ocotillo wells. Probably cruise around the state park side a little but will mostly be in the south side of the 78. Doing a run to Mexico through plaster city Saturday and will go shooting at the railroad tracks Saturday too hopefully.

Is this the same kit that was show cased on the Dirt Everyday episode for the Camburg stock class desert racer? They had a new Taco that they ( Camburg) fully gutted and prepped for a stock class in a SCORE series race recently. The heart of the front suspension was a long travel setup w/ King shocks.

I think that was the mint400 last year with jay Leno. It’s not the same generation if it was.

I’m not 100% sure though . Call Camburg and talk to Scott about the kit on Double G’s 4Runner if you’re interested in anything.

That is a 3rd gen trd pro taco, mostly stock front suspension components with fox coil-overs and bypasses.
