Camburg Uniball UCAs, who has 'em?

Because I can't seem to find the balljoint UCAs in stock anywhere and because Camburg has told me "2 weeks" for a month or so now I am thinking about ordering the 1.25 Uniballs instead. I want to get my alignment corrected before I eat up my tires and want this thing to stop running all over the highway. Can anyone that has these (didn't find many with search) let me know about your experience with them and how much maintenance they have required? The Camburg youtube video makes replacing the uniball look quite easy (maybe even easier than getting a balljoint pressed out) which is a plus but I want to know how much work they are to maintain monthly. I do all my own work so I don't mind messing with them in the garage every now and then. Thanks for your help.

Yes, uniball is easy to replace, and can be done without removing the arm from the vehicle. As long as it is a stainless uniball, it should take very little maintenance, especially in AZ. I put a drop of triflow on mine every week or three. Replacement 1" stainless uniballs are $45. Mine are TC, but camburg should be similar except for the 1.25 uniball cost and construction may be different.

I've been running them since July and I love them. I was in your same position, I wanted new control arms but I wanted to do it right the first time and get something I wouldn't have to worry about. They are exactly what I wanted. Haven't had to grease the bushings since installing them and they are solid and silent. Every time I wash it or do general maintenance I just put a couple of drops of triflow dry lubricant on the uniball and give them a wipe down. I haven't had to change the uniball yet but Mike (Redswan) did a quick write up on it and its the same as any other uniball. Just pinch out the retaining ring and knock out the old one. Wheelers sells replacement 1.25" Uniball's for $45.

any idea what the typical life is on these 1.25 uniballs? at $140 they aren't the cheapest thing around but if they last a couple years I'd be okay with it.

Sorry, I edited my post a second ago. Check out wheelers, they have them listed for 45$ each and I've seen them for about $60 each on other sites. Don't forget thats $140 for an entire kit and not just the uniball on camburgs website. I'm not sure about the lifespan but they haven't shown any signs of wear yet for me and I'm coming up on a year.

I have them, and love them. Had them for two years and have not had a single issue.

I keep mine lubed up with triflow, about twice a year I take it to the car wash and blast the uniball clean and then relube once dry.

You shouldn't have any issues.

Sounds like they need to hire someone to run inventory for them. May have to go with TC because Camburg keeps giving me the run-around.

and yes I am an inpatient person waiting to pay $650 for something they produced for <$50

DownSouth Motorsports might offers them on their eBay store. You can always call them as they are awesome to deal with.

You shouldn't need to lubricate these. They should really have teflon liners and require no lubrication for their entire life.

Also, most the rest of the world calls them spherical bearings. You can get the dimensions and see if say QA1 sells a replacement that fits the arm. I'd hope they're using a very readily available size like a COM-xT, where X is the size in 16ths of an inch.
