Another good thing about the older trailers, is that most of them had sensible windows. That is, Jalousie or awning style windows that could be left open in a hard, driving rain. Most trailers today, in addition to appallingly bad construction, have sliding windows that look stylish, but must be kept completely closed in any kind of bad weather. Ever survived in a trailer with kids and a dog on a hot, muggy day with rain, and all windows closed, with no AC because you are boondocking with hydro?
Thanks, but no thanks! I'll keep my old style windows. I even leave them open for ventilation all winter, avoiding mildew problems.
