Can anyone tell me what this is in the pink circle in the image, and could it be relocated to make space for a Viair Air Compressor? Also, what is the larger black box in the top center, at the opposite end of the green arrow. Thanks

I notice the wiring harness going into it, however i dont see any wiring coming out of it, unless the wiring connector is both input and output. I'm thinking of removing the bracket where it attaches to the frame and positioning my air compressor there on the inside of the frame and then reattaching the bracket. Any thoughts?

Most folks put them in the engine bay where they wont get wet, muddy, coated in dirt.

I plan on fabing up a steel "shield" "skidplate" type of inclosure to protect it from mud and grime. The 400c compressor is a sealed unit and can be mounted in any configuration, however upside down isn't advised. Plus my tank will be in the spare tire space and the "brains" of the system is at the pressure switch at the tank. If i'm worried about anything being subject to the elements i'd be more worried about the tank.

Just confirmed with Viair that the 400c is IP67 rated..
