Can electric parts of fuel injector fail?

You can do it easily without a service port there are adapters for older vehicles. I never mentioned an electrical problem.. I recommended it as preventative maintenance before any issues ever occur. That kilmer guy is half retarded �� why you getting crazy on me luckers. Relax ��

The point you are missing is that a fuel injector has parts that will not be cleaned or helped in any way with fuel injector cleaner. The majority of fuel injector failures that we (the 3rd gen section) have experienced are due to the electrical side of the injector failing. Because there is no service port the fuel rails will need to be split and a fuel service port added in order to use that kit. Along with blocking the fuel return and disabling the fuel pump. It’s not a simple thing to do. If you have done it on a 3rd gen 4Runner then please enlighten us on how easy it is to do and what you did.

For y'all looking at this thread and interested I decided to clear my previously provided information up so y'all DIY ers aren't mislead and can complete this service confidently.

Here is a TOYOTA genuine product including simple video instructions, which includes the adapters for your 3rd gen eliminating the need for a service port.. I don't use this TOYOTA product, I use a compressed air system with a pressure regulator to do it right. But the adapters are what I'm talking about with this particular TOYOTA product. The kit I have has way more adapters for virtually any type of vehicle, return and returnless EFI systems. Including schrader valve t-adapters. I use it on all my vehicles.. take it easy luckers!
