Can I install genuine toyota accessories on myself without voiding the warranty?

What's up,
I just got a new 4runner (black SR5) and I definitely want to get the valor exhaust tip and the aluminum front skid plate (both genuine toyota parts). I know that I can find these parts much cheaper online (compared to ordering them through my dealer) and since they require no drilling I was thinking I would be able to install them myself (and again this would be much cheaper than having it installed at the dealer!). My only question was if this would void my warranty since they are not installed by trained toyota technicians. I've read here that aftermarket mods only void your warranty if they can be proven to be the cause of a problem on the 4R, but since these are genuine toyota parts and they are simple bolt ons I am hoping it would be okay for me to put them on myself.

The voided warranty issues come from parts bolted on to a motor etc....

Neither of those parts is going to have anything to do with the function of the vehicle, not even remotely..

Thanks for the info! I"m going to order a skid plate right now haha. Anyone know the cheapest place to buy it from?

In order for your warranty to be voided, Toyota has to prove the modification cause the failure.

IIRC, accessories installed at port or by the factory carries the bumper to bumper warranty. I don't recall if it has to be installed by the dealer to carry the bumper to bumper warranty. At any rate accessories have 12 month or 12k mile warranty.
