Can I put 215/55/17'2 on my 4Runner?

Hello, this is my first post. I know this may be a very stupid question, but I need to know. I just purchased a 2008 4Runner. It currently has a set of 265/6517's on it. I live where there is a lot of snow and I live where my drive way is a 30 degree grade. I have a set of 21/55/17's never used Nokians in the basement just gathering dust. Can I put them on? Sounds like a passenger car tire size. So I would say no. First off is weight of the vehicle on those tires would be too much and dangerous and second those would be too narrow to set the bead on the wheel.

No way! The 215's are about more thatn 4 inches smaller. Talk about literally driving on a dount!

Better off selling the Nokians or trading them in at a tire shop for credit towards new snows.
