can i put a sport edition hood on a '96 4runner?

The clear coat is slowly peeling off of my hood and the hood of my 1996 4runner. Is this a common problem? and will a sport edition hood (with hood-scoop) fit on mine? if so where can i buy one and for how much?

96-02 are pretty much the same well in 99 they got a little nicer

You can buy a sport hood from tons of places, I bought mine from Certifit for $56.

The only thing, the scoop insert and hardware set me back $175.

Add paint onto that, it's kinda pricey.

I only did mine because I needed to paint match my hood with my new fender, so instead of wasting free paint on a shitty dented hood, I bought the new one.

I love it.

Built into the hood. DO NOT buy on a glue on scoop, ultimate ghetto.
