Can I SWITCH 96 4Runner Rear Coil Springs with Land Cruiser's ???

I recently lifted my 96 4Runner (Front: 1" Daystar spacer, Rear: 2.5" Daystar Spacer)

My problem is that the rear OEM coil springs are way too soft. A large cooler packed with Ice and drinks and a few fishing gears later, the 4R's rear is sagging a whole lot...

I was told that I can replace my 4R's REAR coil springs with the FRONT coil springs of a Land Cruiser and therefore not only it would be much stiffer, but it would also give me 2.5" lift so I wouldn't need the Daystar spacer any longer... (apparently fitment is the same, just stiffer and 2.5" longer)

Does anyone know anything about this? Any idea what year Land Cruiser's Front Coil Spring would fit my vehicle's Rears?

Yes, what you have been told is true. Do a search in the forums for Land Cruiser coils and you should get an ample amount of information concerning this.

I have read many forums, but now I'm more confused... I'm not sure how many inches long are the oem rear coils on my 96 T4R. And so I can't figure out what color combination LC coils I need to give me a 2.5" rear lift...

Anyone else go through the same experience of lifting their 4R's Rear 2.5" with a LC Front coils that can share some info?

You will be sitting like a stink bug with any LC coils and only 1" spacers in the front. I think you're way better off with OME 906s (for ~2" of lift) or even OME 890s (for ~3" of lift) if you still want a bigger than average rake. The OME coils are much better for handling weight than the LCs would be too so when you do load them down, you don't sag hardly at all.

Glad to help. I like my 891s, but they are stiff without signifiacant extra weight. I have a full size spare in the back, ~150 lbs. of tools and ~100 lbs of gear and it rides nice off road when the tires are aired down to 15 psi and it's pretty good on the street with 35 psi. Once I get my CBI rear bumper it will be perfect. If you're not going to be carrying as much weight as me I would recommend the 890s instead. Both the 890s and 891s will give 3" of rear lift (so you'll have ~2" of rake with your 1" front spacers).
