Can I use 2007 18' limited tire sensors in 17' Toyota wheels?

I have a friend willing to swap my 2003 Limited 4Runner wheels (265/65R17) onto his 2007 Limited 4Runner which has 265/60R18 with tire pressure monitor sensors. I want to put his sensors in the 2003 4Runner wheels do you guys think there's any fitment issues? I want to make sure his tire pressure system works.
