Can I use the trailer hitch as a hi-lift point to life?

10mph. That's nothing. I was rear ended at 30+. My hitch was fine, their bummer wasn't.

Haha! Me too. My 2000 took a rear hit at 30+ into the hitch. It destroyed the sloped front end of that sedan and pushed me into a stopped car in front and my front metal bumper creased it’s rear plastic bumper. No damage at all to my 4R. I don’t think my 5th gen is quite as robust.

It is and it isn't. I had a car tag me in a parking lot at MCO and totally tear up their quarter panel and driver's side front door. It pushed in the front bumper cover, but all the metal underneath was fine. They replaced the bumper cover, but I guess you could have just reached in there and popped it back out.
