Can Krazy Glue be used on windshield chips?

The windshield had chips that were sealed by a local windshield glass repair shop but me not knowing took my thumb and with my nail touched one chip and I think I chipped away by accident a tiny piece of sealer or glass and now am afraid that when it rains the missing displacement (if there is one) will be compensated by water then when the water freezes it will crack the windshield.Should I put some Krazy Glue on the sealed chip area to cover the missing sealant?.

What I did was put glue in the hole to seal it and then put scotch tape over that to ensure that there was no debris that got into the chip.

After you glue it, make sure you take it to the window repair shop ASAP. The longer you wait the bigger the risk that water has probably got in there and will only worsen.

They sell them in all autoparts stores over here. If you can't locate one I'd be glad to help you get one.

I'd be afraid that if you used superglue and the repair either wasn't successful or didn't look good that you wouldn't be able to do a proper repair afterwards. Although you could always dissolve it with acetone...

clear nailpolish works good! And every woman should have some laying around which makes it cheap, too. Just paint over the chip and you're good to go.:

Hey there Sidney, I have one of thise kind of kits. I picked it up at a Canadian Tire locally, you should have no trouble getting one. I haven't actually used it yet as the windshield took a rock before I had a chance to try it out....... but I am ready .

I think if you use very cheap and lower rate glue, then it is not long lasting. Once, I had an accident, during that time my shielded glass cracked. I was called garageman and he used for rejoint Loctite 37438 Rear View Mirror Adhesive Kit. It was amazing. Gives quick result and effective also.

+1 on the repair kits, they work great on chips and keep them from becoming big cracks
