I know these are not options you can get from the factory but is it something that can be installed? Or the option package the way they are built cannot be done?

And are they any plans in making a white trail edition? Thanks forums members for your help!

I am in the same boat as you. I want the TE options along with the options offered on the Limited.... It will not come from the factory with those options for sure but you can certainly get aftermarket leather and heated seats. Push button would be really nice and I am surprised that it is not standard across all 4-runners… Not sure if you could retrofit but it likely would be more trouble than it is worth…

Auto climate would be cool. But what I really wanted was the smart key. Would definitely make life easier. I tend to have my hands full in the morning when I head out, not having to fish my keys out of my pocket would be really helpful.

when MSRP of a fully loaded Trail is nearly $41k (without heated leather and push-button start), the price difference between it and the Limited is already so close that i'm sure Toyota just decided to draw a line somewhere...

i know how you feel, though. before i got mine i was dead-set on heated leather. but i'm actually liking the water-resistant fabric and will probably just add seat-heaters in the next couple months.

With enough money and time, anything is possible. The only question is: can you afford it?

Most Toyota dealers can install leather and heated seats but they usually just have a local shop do it for them. I'm not sure you'll find one that would be willing to try the push-button start.

I know for me, the keyless operation is awesome. The fob sits in my wallet and I never pull it out. I walk out the door and just grab my wallet, put it in my pocket and drive away, really cool. No more lugging around 10 lbs of keys, I can leave my spares and odd ones in the storage console.

Your wallet must be really thick. lol. My fob is about the size of a small alarm remote and I can't imagine putting this thing (comfortably) in my wallet. Not to mention that if you break the thing sitting on it I can only imagine the replacement cost. lol.

It's not bad. I use to have a clip type wallet so I'm use to not carrying a lot of stuff in there.

I found a perfect bifold with a sleeve that hold the fob. It's not that much thicker than my iPhone 4 which is in my pocket too. Also, I always carry my wallet in my front pocket.

I do wish that a Lexus type card could be programmed, that would be great. Maybe it can, I need to visit the local Lexus dealer. They just have to program the card to the vehicle.

This is really frustrating! Lol I love the Manuel 4x4 shift on the TE, love the smart, push start, leather heated seats on the limited! Can't decided!!!

The SR5 has the manual part-time lever like the TE and you can get leather and heated seats as an option. The only thing missing would be the smart key. The gauges are different on the SR5 if that's an issue.

That and no option for Nav like the TE or LE (plus the exterior body/trim differences (TE))

True. I was just basing this on the last post about manual lever versus leather and heated seats. If someone is considering the limited then the SR5 has the same external body.
