You can have your SR5 programmed to do so. Took mine in this weekend. Went for oil change and asked for customizations. Now two presses to unlock and hold (all 4 windows roll down). Try your nearest dealer. They were going to charge me, but I went to the dealer I bought the truck at and it was free:banana: check out this post http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-g...s-dealer-can-program-2010-toyota-4runner.html

Actually there is, at least on the 2010's but you need to go to a dealer to have it done. I had mine changed to roll down the all 4 windows. You hold down the unlock button for a few seconds on the key fob and the windows roll down until you release the unlock button. You can crack them or lower all the way, depends on length of time you hold the button down. Does not work on the rear window.

Read this thread, was in the modifications sticky.

Yes you can roll down the (4) windows, but as mentioned, not the back window. The one thing it CAN'T do is roll the windows back up though.....which sucks.

This is exactly right. As others have done, my dealer changed this setting for me at no cost at the 5,000 mile meet and greet. In addition, I had them also enable the moon-roof to open with the windows, but also had them change the default slide open to tilt open. Again, there's no way to enable CLOSING the windows/moon-roof, with the remote entry regardless of what the 2010 dealer manual says.

BUT, you can have the dealer enable opening AND/OR closing the windows/moon-roof with a manual turn of the key in the lock, just like the back window.

Sorry to beat this topic up again, but just to verify, this IS available on the 2011 SR5 (non smart key)??

I took it to the dealer on Friday and the service guy said he has never programed the automatic window feature before and he doesn't think it's an option. It's pretty bad when a customer tells the service tech what he can and cannot do.

Anyways... I know it's available at least on the LTD's, but I just want to make sure it works for the regular key for SR5 and not only the LTD with smart key.

I did that...he said the manual is printed for all models and that he didn't think it was available for the SR5. I go in Saturday to get a few other things reprogrammed, I just wanted to be able to say I talked to an SR5 owner that did have this done so he can't deny doing it.

I also had mine redone last year, yea 2010 model. But while it was being done, the Service Mgr was in the car with me with the "Toyota" computer. I actually witnessed the screen which had all the options come up, "yes or no", "on or off", so this is what I would ask or demand your service tech to do, SHOW YOU the options on their computer......be safe.

My service tech was clueless too. I had to go through the tech stream options with him to get it setup. I didn't realize that you could have the moon roof open too though. That's pretty cool.

I hate to revive an old thread, but when information changes I like to see what others think. I was at the dealer over the weekend having a nail in my tire fixed. I was thumbing thru the 2012 4runner brochure, and found some interesting information.

Are 2012 owners able to roll thier rear windows down by the fob?

See attached pics from a 2012 brochure.

From my understanding you can program the key fob to open ALL windows and sunroof on LE.
I'm going in for my 5000 Oil change soon and I'm going to ask the dealer to do this on mine. Will keep you posted.

Oh I have a 12 LE

I bought my '12 Limited about two weeks ago and it has under 300 miles on it.

The fob trick doesn't work out of the box.

Can I have it programmed to just have the rear window (lift gate) come down and not all of the windows?

I can see that being useful to just drop something off and go.
