Can you order Canadian running boards?

Can us in the USA order the canadian running boards? I saw a guy on here that had some photos of his new tires and in the mud and he had the canadian style boards and liked em. I see after market ones here in the states and the ones that SE Toyota offers but I liked his because they tucked real nice to the skirting. Any info?

Anyone contacted him to see how much it costs?
I got quoted $879 total for them from a dealer in vancouver.
Still high in my opinion.

Hmm. Strange, when I saw Limited in dealership I thought they are black too but maybe I didn't pay attention.
So tehre is a correction: On Canadian SR5 running boards are black plastic.

Don't have those on my 2010. Maybe I should get the new model....

Stopped by the local Canadian Toyota a dealer to find out about these running boards. They had the same diagram and part numbers as the pdf earlier in this thread, but those are the black ones. The parts guy could not find the stainless Limited ones. These things are port installed and while there are definitely two different tops to the steps, they couldn't figure it out. They did find a lighted version... but same part number...


I have the OEM Toyota US ones and everything looks they same but the tops. I suspect all the hardware is the same and there are just different tops.


Cost for the black ones $900.00

Hi guys,

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but ... functionally these running boards are pretty terrible. The problem is that they are just too narrow. I wear US size 11 shoes and i'm worried about my toes / heel slipping all of the time.

Up here in the great white north, the snow has arrived and these boards don't feel great getting in and out of the truck when wet or when snow is packed on the bottom of my shoe. If they were 1 inch wider I think they'd be perfect.

If you're looking for aesthetics they are quite smart looking, I'll give them that!
