The main reason I was wondering is because I don't know what the operating amperage of the vehicle is and the overhead when pulling 400w. It's been years since school, but I vaguely remember them stating it's not great for an alternator to be operating near it's peak for significant amounts of time.
It's something that someone with a little electrical engineering knowledge, time, and a good ammeter could figure out probably. I just don't have a good ammeter or time... or a 5th Gen to experiment with. lol
I'm sure it's fine, but someone had wondered if it would hurt anything/the reason why Toyota didn't just let you do it while driving and while I don't think it would cause issues; I was just trying to figure it out.
