Can you put a SCION HU in a 97 4Runner

i have a 97 with the AM/FM Cassette + CD Module and i am thinking of switching it for a SCION HU. Will the 2006 SCION HU fit, and more importantly, does the electronics match up I.E. can i just pull out one and out in the other??

I put a Scion head unit in my 87. It works great, however there are a couple issues.
The Scion head unit is wider, so you will need to make the hole in your dash wider.
In my 87 I had to change the connector on my wire harness, but I think the one in your 97 will work(I can check this tonight on my 97)
I think there is a thread on this somewhere, but I can't remember if it is this forum or another

sounds great, also, if anybody could post a pic or something giving me an idea of how much plastic has to be trimmed so i can have a better idea of what i am getting into, that would be nice

Okay, the plugs are the same so it should bolt right in.
As far as trimming, the stereos are the same size so it bolt right in, but the face on the Scion HU is wider. I'll take some pics this weekend of the trimming that is needed.
