Well there guys. Looks like I have a real doozy here. Im new to the board and well new to cars and trucks. Im a small engine guy. I buy fix and ride anything with a small motor in it. And if it has 3 wheels and is a 2 stroke im all there. Anyway. I just picked up a 1988 toyota 4 runner for my birthday for 400$ Body is in amazing shape for being around salt water. Im from Nova Scotia Canada. The owner said it does not have spark. He said it just got harder and harder to start. The rear window is down about 3 inches and the drivers side window is half way down. And from looking around this site these seem to be very common problems. Now what drew me to the 1st gen Runners is the removable top. I like pick up trucks. But I am 6 foot 2 and like my leg room plus its nice to have an option for more passangers. And well. I need a way to move my Kawasaki Tecate 3 wheeler. So here are some pics.

Welcome to the club. If it got worse and worse, sounds like something just wore out. Hopefully its a simple fix. I'd check the ignition system first. Looks like a nice truck!

Thanks Guys. Well A bit of an update. We removed the dis cap and seen the spring loaded button was missing from the cap. Bought a new one and still no spark. So I was told to check the ignition module on top of the starter. Man I want to hear it go. Also how hard is it to convert to a 22r motor? Will it bolt up to the crappy auto trans?
