I would have liked to have had this option as well. When I started looking in 2004 it was there as an option, when I finally purchased a year later they had dropped it...It would be useful for those few times when you have extra passengers and don't want a minivan...

I had Montero with a 3rd row for a few years. I used it 5-6 times. Not very often, but it's a nice feature to have. I'd like to have it, but the situation was the same as yours, in 2005 it wasn't available.

Very interesting ..., but leather is too expensive, more then $1k

Hi! I am a fairly new member of this forum ad have only posted once. I am a married female who lives Northeast of Winnipeg. I have dual US-Canadian Citizenship and my husband is Canadian.

I have a 2005 V8 4Runner Sport Edition in Stratosphere Mica. It's pretty much stock with the addition of a remote starter and a "bra" to protect my hood from the millions of flying bugs that get squashed on my front end every day!

There aren't that many 4Runners out here-- I see them mostly in Winnipeg. I believe it's because they are pretty expensive up here compared to the U.S., especially since the exchange rate is almost the same now-- $1 US is about $1.10 CanadianPlus, Toyotas dealers here are like Saturn dealers in the States (they don't deal) unless they are clearing out for the newer models, then they'll discount them a few thousand.
The base price for a V8 SR5 is $42,000Cdn and the MSRP for a Sport Edition in Canada is a whopping $46,000Cdn-- and that does not include the 15% GST/PST sales tax!

Edmonton New 4Runner Owner

We are having a 4Runner SR5 V6 Sport delivered from another dealer. Should arrive Tues/Wednesday of this week. This unfortunately gives us some time to wonder wheter we should have gone with the Limited V6.

Without considering the price, is it worth it to spend the extra 5k for the Limited?

My 2c => YES. I did spend extra cash for it and I like it, especially because of the fact that Canadian dealerships doesn't like to take orders for the vehicles like US one does. When I was shopping for mine, I asked for basic version with list of options I want. I was told that they do not offering this service and I have to choose from SR5, Sport Edition or Limited. After couple weeks of pushing them, they agreed to take an order, but in condition of FULL prepayment, minimum 4-6 month waiting time and not all the options I want. So I just went with Limited, cheaper and faster.
