Canadian vent visors

Why is it that Canadian accessory versions are much better than the US versions?

I was looking at some vent visors and couldn't decide which ones to get. I was thinking of the in-channel ones but after the last NJ meet, I decided not to go with them. EdL04Sport had some Toyota factory Canadian vent visors that looked really sharp. After the meet, I pm'd him about them and asked where he got it. The guy that he got them from didn't respond to my e-mail request so I decided to dig a little further on the net. Thanks to Ed for the part #, I found a place in Canada that ships to the US.

Langley Toyotatown has them. Total for the vent visors were $80.18 ($55 + shipping). I should get them in a week or so.

Well, I didn't get them yet. Hopefully this site is reputable and I'll have the vent visors within a week.

Thanks for the input of various vent visors. I was leaning toward the in-channel ones until you said they suck .

No prob...that's what is great about these boards and meets. I know some folks have had good luck with them, but my experience was terrible.

I have the in-channel ones and haven't had any problems with them at all...I like them.

Where did EdL04Sport get that body colored bug shield????

Got it from trdparts4u.com. Had them get a clear Lund deflector and their body shop painted it for me.

By the way...glad your in-channel visors work well. I had the Weathertech ones in my Maxima for a few months. They would bind my windows and actually started to push the window off it's track. Once that started, I ditched them.

I just got WeatherTech for my parent's Titan. They are great so far. I was considering them for the 4Runner.

Quick update.

I ordered from http://www.toyota-parts.ca back on 2/8/05. They were very good with my order. It shipped out the same day and I was updated on the status of my order until UPS picked up the package. They sent me a tracking # and estimated time for delivery was 2/16/05. 7 days for international shipping isn't bad, even if it's just over our northern border.

I read the instructions and it says that it needs to be installed at 68 deg or warmer or the warranty is void. I guess I'm not putting these on for a few months.

how is the moonroof deflector working, and what brand is it? I realy want one, cant stand the wind noise when its open. But dont want to spend $100+ at carson toyota

I had the Weathertech Slim in-channel vent visor installed on my Runner a month after I got my car. Reason I wanted the in-channel visor is 'coz my old car had the taped version and I noticed a considerable wind noise. The Weatherchannel in-channel visors are so slim and probably the easiest one to install. :bigok:
