Just from doing a very quick skim over this thread I’ve counted over 10k dollars stolen and I’m sure the real number is way higher.

I hope all of you are able to get money back. Absolutely ridiculous that this happened

Missing Corner Lights

BxBuilt ordered Dec 2021. Like most endless emails and messages. I was in process of using NV AG in email sent to them and received my Headlights February 2023 minus the corner lights. I recently sent messages with no return.

Fortunately, I was able to file a claim through my credit card and recoup the funds. Still annoying that these crooks get off without penalty.

Visa through USAA. I did have 6 or 7 email communications over the course of the 14 months as well as the final social media post by BXBuilt before they took it down....all of which were submitted with my claim.

I'm glad you were able to get your money back. USAA is pretty hard to beat when it comes to taking care of their customers. Been there!

Has anyone had luck getting anywhere on this with the LVMPD? What are they saying are the next steps after we file a courtesy report with our own local PD?

I tried calling Chase to begin a CC claim on this, but they're saying it's been too long since the order was placed, unfortunately. Daniel Hawkins of what was once BXBuilt gave me the run-around on December 20th, 2022 that my order was 22 weeks out from my original purchase date, and that's the last I ever heard from them...

Is there any interest amongst this group in pursuing a class action lawsuit against the former owner (presumably Daniel Hawkins)?

I don't want to interject myself too far into facts I'm not 100% sure of but I'm about 99.9% sure Hawkins was not the owner of BX Built.

I hope you all can figure out some kind of way to get your money back this is some hardcore BS. Down right wrong.

Sorry for the delay, somehow wasn't notified there was a reply. I haven't heard anything yet which is not too surprising. Involved investigations with multiple victims (especially out of state) can all lead to extended investigation periods. It's still not clear if this will be handled on the local or possibly the Federal level.

I will encourage others to keep responding to this thread. As previously stated, I provided my local PD with a link to this thread so it's possible LVMPD are aware of the victims responding to this thread.

I will report any new updates in case I am contacted by any agency.

Regarding your resolution with your bank and local sheriff's department, does it look like you might be receiving a refund?

My local sheriffs department was able to file a courtesy report on my behalf. I also provided them with very detailed info and a link to this thread.

I had accepted the fact that the money was gone after contacting my credit union and explaining the situation, following up, being denied, contacting them again due to other circumstances, etc. Last week, out of the blue, I received a full refund for the stolen money.

To those thinking about ordering through TEQ Customs:

• April 1st they said 4-6 week lead time
• April 4th I ordered
• May 18th I followed up without hearing anything, they said "We are about to begin your order."
• June 15th I did a credit card dispute

I never even knew this had happened. I’m truly sorry for anyone who lost their money or got the run around. I don’t know how, but I ended up getting two sets of carbon flares. After not liking them, he gave me a credit. And gave me headlights and a led 3rd brake light.

Usually the case with these small outfitters. Some people report exceptional treatment, and others can't even seem to get acknowledged. Similar issues with Wits End on IH8MUD. The issue with these businesses is consistency.
