Cannot find anywhere, if they make an aftermarket steering wheel for 97 sr5

does anyone know where i can find an aftermarket steering wheel, im looking for something thicker, but of course i know i will be losing the airbag in my stock wheel,

does anyone know can we put like a tundra steering wheel in our 97 sr5??
or anything that has thicker wheel??

Removing the airbags could be a federal violation and in the event of a wreck you insurance company might have some issues if they discover no airbag in the steering wheel so do some research before you do swap out the airbag.

SIKHILUX (SP?) has an aftermarket steering wheel in his and yes he lost his aribag. Like Ron said your insurance may not pay out if you remove the airbag. Also if your State does vehicle safety inspections, they may not pass it and tell you to register as off-highway only. I know the cheapest way to make it thicker... get a high quality padded steering wheel cover.

Nope, in 1998 the rule was set in about airbags, You are fine to run without airbags and it is completly legal. If you dont believe me take a look at a 1997 North American Spec Land Rover Defender 90 and tell me where its airbags are? 1997 vehicles and older are not required to have any airbags.

I've seen an aftermarket wheel that has an airbag in it I just forgot the manufacturer, I'll try and look it up.

Also, unless you are refering to the new one, the Tundra wheel isn't any thicker...
