Can't find my 2001 front A.D.D position indicator switch

Hi all,

Trying to diagnose 4wd issues and I can't for the life of me find the A.D.D position indicator switch to test it. My '01 has the electronic A.D.D. actuator and I've looked all over the place for the indicator switch.

I'm starting to believe I don't have one, is that possible with the electronic actuator?

The test procedure suggests to me that the switch is built into the actuator. It specifies to test continuity between the actuator terminals to "inspect the A.D.D. detection switch and limit switch":

I've also looked at a bunch of photos of used '01/'02 front diffs on ebay and could not find a position switch on any of them. The only wiring I see is for the 6-terminal actuator plug. In contrast when I look at '00 photos with the vacuum actuator the position switch is clearly seen.

So, can someone help me find it if I have one?

There are two switches on the transfer case for the 4wd system.

He's taking about the ADD though. Pretty sure there is a sensor that look exactly the same on the passenger side of the diff that is the one he is looking for. OP if it's the sensor I'm thinking of try using some contact cleaner on it first if you find it to be faulty.

I take a photo of the ADD switch location. It's on the front diff fork system. It's built into the motor actuator as you can see there isn't a seperate switch like the older ADD system did.

No other wires or switches around.

The only thing I can find that even resembles an indicator switch location is this plug on the fork assembly. There's nothing else on the actuator and fork assembly other than the 6-pin connector and a breather hose.

All the 01/02 photos I've found online w/ electric actuator don't seem to have an indicator switch.

You are correct. That's why I took that photo for you. The switch is built into the actuator. There is nothing else there but that harnesses. That Frame photo is an 02.
