Here in socal, there is a supply shortage so the avg gas price went up by more than a $1 overnight. It's now around 4~ $4.20s.

Iranian oils should be flowing in soon.

Supply shortage my ass. If there was a supply shortage you'd be seeing gas stations without gas. This is simply the usual price gouging we see in California for the refineries to get their money before the prices drop "dramatically" right before Labor day. Then we'll get the shaft again when they switch to the winter fuel. These prices make me miss my motorcycle.

well that's why they say in the news, but I am totally with you.

I take the metro and bicycle around DTLA these days. haha
 
Move to the midwest boys! Its so cheap here we use it for weed killer in the garden. :gun5: Plus "traffic" here is slowing down to 55 to check out the hillbilly truck that broke down on the side of the highway. I lived in Pasadena a few years ago.... you guys have a small traffic problem out there..... :pop2: I think I saw $2.47 this morning on the Missouri side.
 
HTX i filled up yesterday for $2.43. its coming down, but as someone who works in the oil field, this is not something we want...

plus its hurting american jobs, like all the oil field workers who have been laid off already.

there are pluses and minuses to gas prices being where they are, to me i see too many minuses.

"While Southern California drivers have seen average gas prices suddenly spike close to $5 per gallon this summer, the state’s oil refineries have seen record profits, according to the Los Angeles Times and a consumer advocacy group.

Newly available data from the California Energy Commission shows refiners saw a record high return to $1.17 per gallon this May.

That’s compared to an average margin of about $0.49 per gallon from 1999 to 2014, according to commission data cited by the Times......"
 
this is why I converted my truck to a flex. I like to have options at the pump. we have many options when it comes to purchasing thing but when it comes to the pump we are very limited. i just decided to give myself one more option.
 
Hey I'm just thrilled that I found 90octane ethanol free gas near both my work and my home, so what if I've got to pay an extra $0.30 - $0.40/gallon. Considering a lot of modern bikes are going to plastic fuel tanks now, and since I've had too many of them "expand" due to ethanol I no longer trust the stuff in my fun machines. Not to say that the Runner isn't fun, but as my DD the fuel in the tank doesn't sit idle very long.
