I would still have the Austin cooper if it wasn't for British wiring. It was fun to drive and turned heads everywhere you went in it.

08 HHR SS first day I had it a MAP sensor blew out. car spent more time at the dealer than I drove it

I had a 1980 Pontiac Bonneville Brougham (sp?)
Had blue velour seats with 2 heavy doors and the jelly suspension. Car was a boat! I miss it tho. U-joints went bad and i was not mechanically inclined, too bad cuz it would have been an easy fix

1976 Triumph TR6

I had to sell it last year when I moved out to Colorado. I miss it all the time.

Triple DCOE40s, 2.5" exhaust, custom suspension... the works. It was a little rocket!

I was just rolling through my mind all the cars I've owned in 60 years of driving. Then I realized how many brands that are either no longer sold in the US or just plain gone.

Hence the thread.

So, what cars have you owned that fit in these two categories?

My most distinct memory of my MG was that it had 2 6V batteries that sat behind the seats. My floor had rusted out beneath them and one day they fell through and were hanging by the cables. Ugh.

I went wheeling in my H3 quite often. I did minimal rock gardens, but it did great in sand, mud, and dirt. I didn't have front or rear lockers, just the standard AWD it comes with. I put 35's on it without needing a lift or anything. It also had custom built sliders and a steel front bumper w/winch. I can only think of 2 times my truck needed to be helped out of a spot and both were because I didn't have lockers. My buddy that would go wheeling with me moved, so I haven't taken my 4R out yet and have no comparison between the two.
