Car ionizer???

I'm looking for a ionizer for my car. Unfortunately, I end up eating a lot in my car and now there's a mix of different fast food joints in my car. I've seen some car ionizers on eBay but I was wondering if they have one that is small and compact but runs on batteries. I figured there's no point for the ionizer while the cars on since I usually drive with the windows down. I would like it to be running while I'm away from the car with the windows rolled up. Any suggestions? I would prefer to stay away from regular air freshners since they just mask the smell.

I got one from target or Walmart (Bel-tronics brand). I just saw them on sale for $10.

It plugs into the cigarette lighter.

I think it worked to kill the smell when I bought the '05 (used w/ 20k miles).

I also used a citrus container thingy purchased at Lowe's (home improvement store).
