I read that. The concept of applying copyright law to a vehicle with the goal of preventing anybody but the maker from working on it is patently retarded. They're looking for leverage to apply to their argument that any service outside the dealership violates your warranty. This won't go anywhere.

Yea, pretty retarded but large corporations will stop at nothing to protect as many "revenue streams" as they can. But equally retarded is the government protecting the "free speech" of corporations. I still can't believe that actually happened.... I think if the industry throws enough money at it issue, it could go their way in some respect. But, maybe I'm just being pessimistic about it.. which is not my nature but lately I have to wonder... But I have the Rolling Stones playing on my phone so I'm okay for now..
